Slow Motions

video 23:48 min. 2021

Slow Motions questions the movements and actions we associate with particular bodies. When does a body behave normally, and when does it deviate? Is it possible to observe or understand this from an objective, universal perspective, unaffected by its surroundings? Inspired by the pioneering photographs of Eadweard Muybridge, which documented the movements of the body, the work employs slow motion as a measuring device that highlights details within bodily movement—details that would otherwise remain invisible to the human eye.
